Sally-Ann Wilson

Sally-Ann Wilson 

Secretary General

After training in BBC Radio, Sally-Ann Wilson spent 20 years as a factual TV Producer / Director for the BBC, Granada and Discovery. From 1998-2001 Sally-Ann managed a major international broadcast output deal. She joined the CBA in 2001 to set up the CBA-DFID Broadcast Media Scheme and was Project Director for 9 years, before becoming CBA Secretary General in October 2010.


Jasmine Dhariwal

Jasmine Dhariwal 

Project Manager

Jasmine Dhariwal began her media career working for BBC Local Radio as a researcher and a presenter and later moved to BBC Television’s Asian Programmes Department. Jasmine has extensive experience producing specialist programming and events and was also seconded for 2 years to work as Head of Production for Youth Culture TV and Timebank. Jasmine has been the Director of Training and Bursaries for the CBA since 2005.


Adam Weatherhead

Adam Weatherhead 

Project Manager

Adam Weatherhead has worked for the CBA since March 2007. Previously he worked in community radio in Toronto, Canada and Melbourne, Australia. He holds a BSc from Monash University and has recently completed an MBA with distinction at London Metropolitan Business School.



Mandy Turner

Mandy Turner 

Project Manager

Mandy Turner holds a BA (Hons) in Journalism from Cardiff University. Previous to her role at the CBA she completed work placements at BBC Wales as a Newsgathering Assistant and at an environmental charity as a Media Researcher. She has also worked as a Marketing Coordinator for a non-profit travel company.


Akim Mogaji

Akim Mogaji is a media producer with more than 20 years industry experience of delivering award-winning drama and documentary across platforms and globally. His aim is to strengthen new and emerging markets through building capacity and facilitating relationships with more established professional and academic institutions.



Karen Merkel

Karen Merkel 

WorldView Consultant

Karen Merkel commissions, delivers, evaluates and teaches media programmes and strategies. She is a partner in New Media Networks, an international, creative industries company producing high impact work for lasting social and educational benefit. She worked for 9 years in the BBC’s Global Division and previously as an independent across the UK.


Mervyn Warner

Mervyn Warner 

Finance Manager

Mervyn Warner, FCCA, joined CBA in 2003. He began his television career in 1976 at ITV regional broadcaster, Anglia TV. From 1976-2001 his roles within ITV included Group Financial Accountant and subsidiary Company Director. His responsibilities included group accounts, programme production and international distribution. Since 2001, in addition to CBA, he works with a number of producers and production companies.


Neil Dormand

Neil Dormand 

Technology Consultant

Neil Dormand is the CBA’s Technology Consultant. Previous to this, Neil spent 35 years as a cameraman, trainer and manager for the BBC. His final role there was for BBC News as General Manager Technology and Production Services. Neil has held a number of directorships in broadcast related companies and is a member of the IBC Conference Committee and Chairman of the Thames Valley Centre and the Royal Television Society.


Linda Hutchings

Linda Hutchings 

WorldView Project Manager

Linda Hutchings spent 30 years working at the BBC as a floor manager and a PA on documentary features. She also has experience working on live studio programmes and in busy newsrooms. Linda joined the CBA as Project Manager in 2006 and deals with the Travel Bursary Fund.




Marion Simpson

Marion Simpson 

WorldView Project Manager

Marion Simpson, before joining the CBA in 2003 worked in television for over ten years, including 3 years Production Manager for Survival Animal Planet Unit. Marion works as the Project Manager for the Broadcast Media Scheme preparing for the launch of the "WorldView" scheme and is responsible for the Programme Development Fund.



Charlotte Jenner

Charlotte Jenner 

Editor

Charlotte joined the CBA in 2011, having worked as a freelance Researcher with organisations such as the International Broadcasting Trust (IBT), the BBC World Service Trust and Internews. Previous to this, she worked in Parliament for 3 years, as a Senior Researcher for Environment and International Development policy and has undertaken a work placement with BBC News, as a Researcher. Charlotte holds a BA (Hons) degree in English Literature and Philosophy.


Thomas Mills

Thomas Mills 

IT Co-ordinator

Thomas Mills is the CBA I.T. Co-ordinator. Recently he graduated in Computer Science BSc at Goldsmiths University in London. Having worked with computers for the past several years, mainly creating and editing websites, he began at the CBA in the summer of 2009.

Amy Richardson 

WorldView Project Co-ordinator

Whilst studying Photography in Manchester, Amy undertook work as a Photo Journalist in Sri-Lanka and Vietnam as well as in the UK. Following the successful completion of her degree course, Amy worked in Australia, China, Peru and Bolivia gaining along the way, a growing interest in Participatory Media Projects. Wanting to pursue this interest, Amy returned to the UK to study an MA in Media and International Development. Since completing the MA, Amy successfully obtained a placement with BBC News before joining the WorldView team at CBA.
