New Zealand’s PSB seeks heads for radio, digital and content

Public service broadcaster Radio New Zealand is searching for candidates for three new leadership roles as it accelerates its push into digital media.

Chief Executive Paul Thompson said the positions had been created to ensure the organisation has a strong and effective leadership team equipped to take the broadcaster on a new path.

The new roles are: Head of Radio, Head of Digital Media and Head of Content.

“Our strategy is to enhance our excellence in radio by growing diverse audiences across many platforms –
on air, online and on-demand,” said Paul Thompson, “the new roles will provide us with the leadership and expertise we need to successfully achieve our goals.”

Radio New Zealand runs two commercial-free networks in New Zealand and a news service for the Pacific. It also has a growing website, a digital youth service called The Wireless and popular smartphone apps.

A fourth senior role, that of corporate services manager, has also been created.

The deadline for applications is 28 July 2014. More information and how to apply.
