New DG for the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation

The Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) has appointed Albertus Aochamub, as its Director General. He takes up the post on 1 August.

Aochamub has nearly 12 years of senior management experience in the Namibian communications and financial services industries. He was formerly MTC head of corporate affairs. Before MTC, he had stints with First National Bank as Corporate Communications Manager in 2004. He was also the manager of Telecom Namibia Internet Service Provider Company, I-Way.

He replaces Yvonne Boois, who has been acting in that capacity since January this year. She in turn replaced Mathew Gowaseb, who left the NBC after his contract ended at the beginning of the year.
