Bursaries
The CBA offers a number of bursaries to staff of member organisations to enhance their skills and knowledge. Calls for entries are published on this website.
The bursaries are:
- CBA & FAIR Bursaries for African Journalists
- The CBA has partnered with FAIR to offer two bursaries to attend the African Investigative Journalism Conference, in Johannesburg, South Africa from 1-3 November 2010.
- CBA Bursary to visit IBC 2010
- Covering the economy return airfare to Amsterdam in the Netherlands, five nights bed and breakfast accommodation and a daily subsistence allowance. In addition the successful applicant will have access to all conference proceedings and the exhibition.
- CBA MA Bursaries
- One-year MA Bursary to study international journalism at the City University in London
- One year MA Bursary to study international journalism or communication and media related subject at the University of Westminster in London
- One-year MA in Public Policy at the University of Brunei

The UK MA Bursaries are funded by the Chevening Programme of the UK's Foreign and Commonwealth Office, the CBA, International Student House, Goodenough College, City University and the University of Westminster.
The MA in Public Policy is part-funded by the Universiti Brunei Darussalam.

- These are funded by the Commonwealth Foundation, the Elizabeth R Broadcasting Fund and the Commonwealth Broadcasting Association
