CBA & FAIR Bursaries for African Journalists

Earlier this year the CBA partnered with FAIR to offer two bursaries to CBA members to attend the African Investigative Journalism Conference, in Johannesburg from 1-3 November 2010. The conference is jointly organised by FAIR and Witwatersrand University, Johannesburg.

The CBA had an overwhelming response for the bursary awards. After considering all the applications the selection panel at FAIR felt only one applicant met the criteria to attend the forum and therefore could only award one bursary. Congratulations to Ruth Namatama Kanyanga, Producer at Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation, who has been awarded the CBA Bursary to attend the FAIR in Johannesburg.
