CBA / UNESCO Broadcasting Regulation for Regulators
- The course will be online and will involve the use of e-mail as well as the course chat forum. Successful applicants will be expected to spend approximately 2 hours per week studying the modules and carrying out the various assignments.
- The course aims are that Broadcasting regulators will :
- acquire capacities in protecting democratic principles in their respective countries, based on the CBA Guidelines for Broadcasting Regulators.
- understand and apply social principles in broadcasting regulation.
- The course tutor will be Eve Salomon, an International Media Consultant with experience in broadcasting and press regulation and the writer of the CBA publication “Guidelines For Broadcasting Regulation" on which the course will be based.
- Participation is free for CBA Members to Media/Broadcast Regulators in Commonwealth countries; non-members can join but at a fee.
- The course will run from late June 2010 for 6 Weeks.
